Our Wines

The Grower's Mark range of wines delivers Reserve grade wines from the best parcels of fruit.

Tasting Note:

This is a classic expression of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, displaying a palest straw in the glass it delivers lifted, sweet passionfruit along with African sweetgrass, underscored with typical herbaceous characters. The palate has a burst of ripe fruit, passionfruit and white currant backed with subtle herbaceousness and intriguing white pepper notes. Firm acidity is balanced with the fruit weight for a persistence of flavour.

'Riverbank' Sauvignon Blanc
Marlborough 2015
'Gale Force' Pinot Gris
Marlborough 2016

Tasting Note:

Pinot Gris from the Gale Force Vineyard lends itself to an aromatic style of wine. Displaying a lightened yellow, the wine presents lychee, honey and a hint of pear on the nose. The palate continues with honey sweetened lychee, pear and almond.

'Tansley Road' Chardonnay
Gisborne 2016

Tasting Note:

Pale gold with hints of green in colour, the 'Tansley Road' Chardonnay provides aromas of toasty oak, melon and fig, underscored with subtle toffee and hints of butter. A rich, ripe and full bodied style of Chardonnay with a great balance of oak under the abundant melon and tropical fruits that integrate well with the creamy notes.

This is Gisborne chardonnay through and through.

'Tietjen' Albarino
Gisborne 2013

Tasting Note:

Grown on the Tietjen family vineyards, the Grower's Mark Albarino mixes almond essence with herbaceous notes on the nose. The palate carries forward the almonds, alongside apricots and green apple with a firm acidity.

This wine has a subtle saltiness underlying the sweet fruit, leading it to match exceptionally well with seafood.

'Tansley Road' Chenin Blanc
Gisborne 2013

Tasting Note:

The growers of Gisborne continue to show the way forward when it comes to new and exciting grape varieties, with Chenin Blanc one such example.

Toasty notes of peach, fig and granny smith apple on the nose are followed by a palate offering a rounded creamy texture with a herbaceous structure.

'Rivenhall' Bone Dry Riesling

Marlborough has the ability to produce a wide array of Rieslings, but Bone Dry has always held a special place for the team at Grower's Mark.

Pale straw with golden edges, this wine has an intense citrus honeyed notes, with just a hint of aviation gasoline. A tale-tell of great Riesling!

On the palate it is once again dominated with citrus, honey and ripe fruit. With great length of flavour this wine finishes bone dry.
